FAQ

Direct answers for founders evaluating how Nami works.

Who can apply?

This is founder-focused, so first-time founders can apply, and if you are still in school, you can apply too (dropout founders, of course). You do not need a warm intro, a polished deck, or a complete application package. We care more about whether you are a real builder with high agency, and whether you are willing to share what you are building, either in public or inside the system, so the agent can adapt to your situation, understand your strengths, and help you work toward something impactful.

How is this different from other founder programs or accelerators?

Nami is an online agentic partner for founders. It is always on, does not run on a fixed curriculum, and equips you with the early-stage skills, playbooks, and context you need while you build. You can build, ask Nami questions, and keep moving at your own pace while the system adapts to your situation and helps you visualize possible paths forward.

How does Nami work in practice?

It works like a game-like navigation dashboard for founders. You are the captain, and Nami is the navigator you check in with as you build. You share what you did, what changed, and where you want to go next, and Nami turns that into a running log of your journey. If your next island is getting your first paying client, for example, Nami can map a few possible paths to get there. You choose the route. As you move through each chapter, whether it works or fails, the system keeps the log, learns your pattern, and helps route you toward the bigger treasure. Nami can do this because it learns from founders in the system and draws from the knowledge of how successful companies get built.

What support or capital can a founder receive?

If you share enough of your journey for Nami to chart your early map, Nami may reward you with a $10,000 equity-free grant to help you set out. More perks and credits are coming too. When you are ready to build a real startup, you can come to Dock at Nami Venture Partners, a two-week residency in SF. This is where founders can build together, create sparks together, and meet the networks that matter. After that, Fund is there to support the next step, with check size and terms shaped by what you are building.

If I am an investor, can my portfolio join this system?

Yes. We are happy to partner with angel investors and VCs who want to bring their portfolio companies into the system. If that sounds like you, feel free to say hi to Hannie and grab a coffee. If it is a fit, we can show you more details and make it easy to share your portfolio context with us.

How can I join, or get an invite code?

Right now, the system is invite only. If you want to join, start by emailing us at [email protected] with a short note on what you are working on. You can also keep showing up around Nami online and interacting with us. If Nami keeps seeing your name pop up, she may get curious.
